Who Else Wants to Lose Weight by Following a Few Simple Unwritten Rules

We're now over a month into the New Year. This could be a good or bad thing depending on if 2009 has started out the way you've wanted it. If you're currently losing weight then I am sure you're happy with your progress. If you've failed to lose weight, you're probably a little frustrated.

In this short article I am going to share with a few of my favorite tips that will help you start losing weight today. These are a few of the tips I used when I was having trouble losing weight.

Weight Loss Rule #1-

Food is your friend not your enemy. It's all over the news today about how bad food is for you. The problem is that it's simply not true. When trying to lose weight you'll eat more frequent meals with less calories. You'll never feel starved. You actually will be eating more often but with smaller portions.

Weight Loss Rule #2-

The second rule is the exercise doesn't have to be agonizing. Let's face it, it can be difficult to go out and lift weight for 45 minutes followed by 30 minutes of cardio. Most people don't want to do that and they don't have the time to do so. This is why it's important that you do a little each day with high frequency. Workout for 25 minutes a day but do it 5 days per week. You'll not only drop the weight, you'll be more productive starting your day out with exercise.

Weight Loss Rule #3-

The last rule is to make it fun. A lot of people tread what comes along with losing weight. I did at one time too so I understand where you're coming from. Realize that you're doing things that 97% of the population isn't willing to do. Change up your workouts for more variation. Eating healthy is great but make sure you change around the meals that you eat. It's okay to cheat every so often too, just do it in moderation.
