Losing Weight for 2006 Ok you've decided you want to lose weight but are confused by all the diets currently out there. Here's the cold hard facts about dieting and it may not be what you want to hear. Any diet that claims you can lose weight and not do any excercise is totally misleading. You are just going to have to strap yourself down and make some decisions about weather you want to lose weight or not.
My suggestions for effective weight loss are very cost effective and best of all it works quite well. First off get down to Wal-Mart, or whatever your favorite store is that sells Slim Fast and buy these shakes. My Wal-Mart sells them in 4 packs for about $4.75 for the 4 pack. Get the High Protein kind if you're about 20 lbs overweight, if you're more than 20 lbs overweight, you'll want to get Optima.
Now as for meals, Slim Fast tells you to drink a shake for dinner and lunch and then a sensible dinner. The fact is you can still eat what you want to eat in a sense, but still not going overkill and the key here is drinking water, and lots of it. The benefit of water, and drinking lots of it is, it helps you shed the pounds much faster with using Slim Fast Shakes as well as excercise.
Now I only reccommend the following things for excercise because they work for me every day, and I highly reccommend using them. Now, the first equipment you'll want to buy is The Total Gym. This equipment is by far, in my opinion, the most effective equipment for helping in weight loss, and I've tried alot of excercise equipment.
A nice addition to The Total Gym is what's called 6 second Abs. The equipment doesen't look like much at all, it's plastic body makes you think it's not worth the $49.95, that even Wal-Mart charges, but it is totally worth it. You don't need to buy the 6 second Abs, there is a set attachment for The Total Gym that will do the job, but if you want faster results like I did, get the 6 second abs.
The Total Gym will run you around $349-395 dollars and that's for the Total Gym 1700. The cheaper ones are the Total Gym 1500, around $249, and the 1100 for about $199. The 1500 and 1100 models are the older models and you can't do as many excercises with them. The 1700 is to me the best deal, they give you tons of attachments for an all around body workout. Either one you choose it will still aid you in losing weight.
All the Total Gyms are extremely portable and fold just like an ironing board for very easy storage. Now just look over the excercise charts that is included with The Total Gym and choose the excercises that you'd be most comfortable doing, or the ones you need to do, to target the areas you need to most work on. In total, if you choose the Total Gym 1700 for your excercise regimen and the 6 second abs and following their excercise solutions, you'll soon be fast on your way to quick weight loss.
Alot of the other programs you see that advertise something like: "Lose tons of weight, eating everything you've always wanted to eat and basically sit on your butt, and the weight just falls off", it's all just a marketing gimmick. There's no plan out there that can do that, and if there was, I'd be very cautious since it would probably do more harm than good.
In conclusion, drink lots of water, You'll be going to the bathroom alot, no doubt, but that's what you do when you lose weight, you pee it away. Also I might make another suggestion and buy some B-12 vitamins, also at any drug store or wal-mart. This vitamin aids in the weight loss process, but take only 1 daily.
Disclaimer: By following the weight loss program I have you may, or may not achieve the results I have. As with any diet you may want to consult with your doctor to make sure are physically able to perform excercises I've advised. I take no responsibility for any harm or infliction that may occur with the use of the following advice. If you have questions, please ask your doctor.
