How Will Your Weight Loss Story End?

How will you want your weight loss story end? In a perfect world you would lose the weight that you need to. You would feel happy and healthier in finally getting the body that you want.

However these types of weight loss stories for many people are pretty rare and a lot of people's stories do not have a happy ending. The common story is of people trying numerous methods of losing weight, but never succeeding in their goals for any length of time.

Your weight loss story is probably similar to many others:
You go on a diet.
You cut back on calories.
You try to eat healthier foods.
You start to exercise.
You start to lose a little weight.
You find it hard to continue.
Your results slow down.
Your results stop.
You begin to gain the weight back.
You get frustrated.
You try another diet.

Does this sound familiar? Sadly it is only too familiar for the majority of people who are desperate to lose weight. So what is the solution?

First of all you will need to stop thinking that dieting is the only answer to your weight problems. Of course what you eat and how much you eat has an important role in the shape of your body right now. However too much emphasis is placed on diet and not enough on exercise. Your body has evolved over millions of years to be physically active. Your body is not engineered to diet.

When you put fuel into a car, it will only burn if the car moves. Your body is the same. You need to use the fuel that you put into it. If you continue to put fuel into your body and not use it, it will overflow in the form of fat. You need to be physically active to burn your body's fuel.

Look into the past and you will see that obesity was nowhere near as common as it was today. This was because people were more active. This wasn't through choice, it was more out of necessity. People walked more and a lot of jobs were more physically demanding. People never ate healthier, they just had to move more.

I'm not saying that you should ditch the car or start working in construction. The physical activities of the past have to be replaced by other forms of physical activity. If you want your weight loss story to have a happy ending, it will mean exercise. Sure, eat healthier, but crank up your physical activities.

This doesn't mean that you should go hell for leather in the gym. What it does mean that you have to steadily increase what you do over a period of time. If you stick to doing the same all the time, then you will not improve your results. Then you will wonder why you are not losing weight anymore.

Your body capable of reaching higher levels of physical activity than you can even begin too imagine. Of course it will be hard, but succeeding in any worthwhile goal is never going to be a walk in the park. It all depends how much you want it and if you want a happy ending to your weight loss story.
