Lose Weight - How To Get It Right When Most Women Get It Wrong

Because of the accessibility of the Internet, there is no shortage of websites that will tell you how to lose weight. Every fad diet, boot-camp program, and weight loss plan that you can think of has its own website. Which means that you can find enough regimens, recipes, and routines to keep you starving yourself for the rest of your life.(It can be so confusing.)

And is that really what you want to do? Do you seriously want to be on a diet forever? Do you want to spend every single day turning down dinner invitations, counting calories in a milkshake, and denying yourself the very things that make life worth living?

It’s definitely not what I call happy times. And believe it or not everyday, women decide to enter into super strict diet programs to get the weight off; and everyday, many more women quit dieting, restarting the vicious cycle of “yo-yo weight gain” all over again.

So, what’s the right answer? How do you get the body you’ve always wanted? How do you look “hot” naked? How do you reach the point where you look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Yes”?

I’ll give you a hint: dieting alone is not the answer. It’s not a weight loss plan. And it’s not some trendy Hollywood program that Angelina Jolie made famous. What it is however is as easy, and as hard, as changing the way you live your life. You must change your habits for the better.

Yikes! How the heck do I do that? And, more importantly, why would I do that?

To drop the pounds you want, and to keep it off requires you to correct your bad habits. You can’t starve yourself, eating one kind of food everyday for a month, or spend your spare time mastering the art of calorie counting, and expect to maintain a tight butt and high energy level. It has to be a conscious decision applied consistently in order for it to work.

Change the way you eat - forever.

Does this require a sacrifice of biblical proportion? No, it requires exercising your will power, and understanding the friendly relationship between the good ol’ law of cause and effect and yourself.

Sure, you can take your kids to eat sundaes at midnight on their birthday, and you can even join in the fun. But making it a weekly habit is probably going to cause your ankles bulge out of your favorite sandals. You’re going to have to cut back a little, and burn some calories with a light workout, to even out the balance.

Fresh, in-season foods are best; “low-fat” and “light” foods that have been processed and packaged are not nearly as good for you, no matter how few calories are in them.

There is no way to get around it - you’ve gotta exercise.

And many women immediately panic, thinking they’re going to have to join a gym and go through a lot of pain. Why does the pendulum have to swing from one extreme to the other?

Back in the day, we didn’t have to exercise because we were an agrarian nation that did manual labor, day in and day out, in order to survive. If you’re out tilling the land, or washing clothes on rocks in the river, or stirring a cauldron to make butter, then you’re getting exercise.

But today, we’re completely sedentary beings. We drive everywhere. We sit at work eight hours a day or more. The things we find most entertaining require us to be seated, or at least still. But, we’re still eating like hearty farmers! Something’s gotta give. Get active today! Take the necessary steps to lose weight now!
